My first Google Desktop Widget
by Scott King on May.30, 2008, under JavaScript, Widgets
I was asked to develop a Google Desktop Widget for Peugeot that would display the cheapest priced petrol for each state in Australia and which service station to get it from.
This involved building a screen reader in PHP to get petrol price data, converting it to an array in order to sort the data and then export the result set as XML.
I then had to build the Widget to recieve the XML feed and display the data. Overall its been quite a complex project but Im happy with how it turned out.
Its currently under going testing, once completed I will post a link to download the Widget.

The Furnace ver 2.0, our new web site is Live!
by Scott King on May.01, 2008, under Flash
We’ve launched our new web site, The Furnace ver 2.0 over at: http://www.thefurnace.com.au.
It was a real headache to develop as it underwent many, many, mannnny revisions and changes over the course of several months. Just when it looked like it was almost finished, the spec completely changed.
It’s great to finally get this one out.
